Baton

Classes are offered from the beginner’s level up to semi-private lessons for the competitive twirler where students will be prepared for competitions at the Provincial, National and International level.  CBTF accredited coaches work with your children and all training is built on the CBTF Skill Development Program.

Session Classes - Twirling Bugs

An introductory class designed to let you experience the fun and challenge of the sport of baton twirling Boys and girls 5-8 years of age. This class is 30 minutes in length and runs for 10 weeks.

SOBG - Twirling Program

These classes provide an excellent way to further your child’s twirling education after 2-3 years of combination classes. Particular emphasis is placed on baton twirling skills as well as conditioning, flexibility and stretch training.

Twirl Tyme 1: First Year Student: 45 minute class once per week.
Twirl Tyme 2: Second Year Student: 55 minute class once per week
At this time – students will have the choice between continue with the Twirl Tyme program or move into the Sundown Optimist Buffalo Gals Competitive Program.

Twirl Tyme 3: Third Year Student: 55 minute class once per week. Focus is on skill development for those students not wanting to enter the competitive stream.
Twirl Tyme 4: Fourth year Student: 55 minute class once per week. Focus is on skill development for those students not wanting to enter the competitive stream.
Pals (Level 1): Beginning of CBTF Pre-Competitive Program: 1.5 hour class once a week
Pals (Level 2): Continuation of CBTF Pre-Competitive Program: 2 hour of classtime
Rascals (Level 1 & 2): C & Bn Level Solo: 3 hour of class time
Futures – Bn-Bi level Solo: 4 hours of class time
Challengers – Bi-A level Solo: 5 hours of class time
Elite: A level Freestyle: 5 hours of class time plus individual private lessons at teacher’s discretion

Students in the Pals to Elite programs will also have an additional group training time that is Buffalo Gals class time. These classes will be included through the program fee for SOBG

At the Future, Challenger and Elite levels it is required that a ballet and/or jazz and/or acro class is taken in conjunction with the baton classes. At the younger levels it is strongly recommended.
