We respectfully acknowledge that the land on which we gather and dance today is the traditional territory of the Cree, Ojibwe (OJIB-WE), Saulteaux (SO-TO), Dakota, Nakota, and Lakota Nations, and the Homeland of the Métis Nation.

We recognize and honour the First Nations and Métis Peoples as the original stewards of this land. We pay our respects to their Elders—past, present, and future—and acknowledge the deep, ongoing connection that Indigenous Peoples have to these lands, waters, and communities.

We are grateful to be able to live, learn, and create on this land, and we are committed to walking forward together in respect and reconciliation.
