Instructor
Maia Park started dancing at the age of 2, in a small town. At 6 years old, she made the transition to a larger studio in Moose Jaw and became a competitive student for the next 11 years. Maia completed her grade 8 awards and Advanced 1 vocational examinations through the Royal Academy of Dance, along with many other Canadian Dance Teacher Association ballet, jazz and tap examinations.
In 2019, Maia realized that there was a real passion for sharing the art of dance with others, which led her to pursuing her teaching career. Maia has been teaching dance for 6 years now, to both competitive and recreational dancers. She has since been certified as a registered Royal Academy of Dance and ADAPT teacher, as well as became well versed in CDTA ballet examinations. During this time Maia has also accomplished Level 1 training in Progressive Ballet Technique and Module 1 training in Acrobatic Arts. Throughout Maia’s schooling, she was awarded the Marlene Wilson Scholarship for Contemporary Dance in 2021 and 2022, as well as many scholarships and awards while performing as a competitive dancer.
Never one to sit still, Maia will continue to upgrade and improve her dance teaching education through multiple studies.
