Instructor

Sydney took her first dance class at the age of 3, but has found her passion for teaching while assisting for the past 6 years at Martin School of Dance. Sydney’s love for teaching dance has inspired her to pursue a degree in elementary education at the University of Regina. Along with her studies in the fall, Sydney is super thrilled to be back at Martin to teach the younger generation of dancers.

Throughout the course of Sydney’s dance career she completed exams in many disciplines including ADAPT Tap, ADAPT Jazz, RAD, CDTA Modern, and Acrobatic Arts. This past dance season (20/21) Sydney got the opportunity to choreograph and perform her own tap solo. Along with dance, Sydney grew up as a competitive figure skater and was apart of Regina Synchronized Skating Teams. From grade 5-12 she has been apart of many school musicals and in grade 12 she had the opportunity to be the dance captain for Campbell Collegiate’s production of Mamma Mia. Along with all of her extra curricula’s, Sydney is currently working at a Before and After school program to continue to gain experience.

“I can’t wait to continue to teach the younger, up and coming generation of dancers and make them apart of our amazing studio family!”
